Saturday at the Mundials was the real beginning of the “Clash of the [BJJ] titans.” The junior blue-belts divisions, the purple-belt male and female open divisions, as well as the brown belts and the lighter-weight black belts (my favorite divisions of course) were on the docket. The bullpen, the stands, and the surrounding areas were flooded with BJJ royalt […]

Later in the day we came up with a plan whereby each fighter from Crazy 88 preparing for a fight would be assigned an assistant who had fought the day before, to make sure they had everything they needed. It was an honor to be able to assist, in what little way I could, in a teammates’ preparations. SEVEN (7) Lloyd Irvin competitors became World Champions on […]

-Jon Delbrugge- In today’s mainstream MMA we have an oversaturation of the blood splattering, lightning bolt, tribal tattoo designed logo appeal to it. Mike Fowler and JT Torres Close the Tokyo Open Black Belt Absolute Division

Mike Fowler and JT Torres Close the Tokyo Open Black Belt Absolute Division

Well the Tokyo Open has come and gone.  At the end of the day both Mike Fowler and JT “Spiderman” Torres took the GOLD in their black belt brazilian jiu jitsu divisions.  The guys have been having very challenging brazilian jiu jitsu training and it’s paying off.

Although it’s the off season, right now they are out trying to get as much experience as possible.  Blue Belt competition team member Frank “The Crank” Camacho won his division to bring home the GOLD also.

Being all the way in Japan, both Mike and JT jumped into the Black Belt Absolute division, after some grueling matches, one of which saw JT battling a HUGE GIANT in a battle of a life time, in the end JT prevailed!

Both Mike and JT made it to the finals of the open division, as normal they flipped a coin and JT won the coin toss to receive the GOLD. At the Miami open Fowler won the coin toss.

Everyone needs to get into the gym and work on your technque during this next phase of training.

It has been my yearly tradition
and something I highly recommend
to take a second to look back once
a year and take note of what you
are thankful for.

I do this at Thanksgiving for
obvious reasons, but not everyone
celebrates that holiday so whatever
you are doing and however
you celebrate, take a second
or two to reflect on positive
moments that have made your
life better. Not only does
it make you realize that you
have made progress to this
point, it does make you feel
a bit better… or at least
it does for me.

With that being said here are some
of the things I am thankful for: my
family, first and foremost my gorgeous
wife Vicki, my son Lloyd III,
my parents who are both here
with me today for thanksgiving.

I’m thankful for the staff at
Team Lloyd Irvin Martial Arts and
all of the hard working members of
our team. The members of my mastermind
groups, Internet Beginners Mastermind,
Zero to A Million,
Internet-Information Marketing
Mastermind and Business VIP Mastermind.

I’m thankful that Bill Glazer accepted
me as a member of their highest level
Mastermind group-Info Mastermind.

I’m thankful for Steven Oliver for
introducing me to the wonderful World
of the internet and information marketing.
I’m thankful for everything that
Dan Kennedy and Ken McCarthy has taught me.

I’m thankful that I’ve been able
to help so many people’s lives
this year.  I’m thankful that so many
of my student’s dreams and goals are
coming true. I am thankful for all of
my clients and so many of my
online family that I talk to
weekly if not daily.

I’m thankful for all of the great
people I have met in the Martial Arts,
Internet Marketing and Business
World.  And I’m thankful that I’m
able to make a living from something
that I absolutely love.

As I tell many people I am thankful
every morning I wake up on the right
side of the grass and get to see
and hear everything around me.

I could go on and on as it seems
each day God finds a way to bless
me with more than the day before.
True there are some days that there
are setbacks and life gets in the
way but I think those are only
challenges to make us realize the
good things when they happen.

I hope that you find at least one
thing to be thankful for to
brighten today and each day you
are here.

I wish you a happy Thanksgiving and
much success in EVERYTHING you do!

Lloyd Irvin Jr.
