Cedric Bryant is one of our teens who has been with Lloyd Irvin’s Mixed Martial Arts since he was 7 yrs. old. He is a great student in and outside of the gym, always has a smile on his face and walks around with a positive attitude. Cedric is also a 4.0 student and takes Advanced Placement classes. Yesterday he turned 16 and what else could possibly be better than getting promoted on your birthday. Cedric Bryant was promoted to the rank of blue belt under Master Lloyd Irvin in the advanced BJJ class last night here in Camp Springs. We had a large class last night too, after having to roll with everyone, he never gave up and kept going! The promotion took up the whole class and while he was rolling, everyone else had partners and sparred on the side.
Today marks Day 7 of the Push Ups challenge. One week in and I was struggling today, my arms were burning!! If you want to find out more about it, go to www.TeamFFA.com. I am proud of Marcos and Jason for sticking with it so far. Being that we are only 7 days in, who knows what could happen, so you guys need to stay strong and hang in there.
At 11:30 today, we drilled sweeps, and then I got to spar with one of our black belts JT Torres. Even though I was getting my butt whooped the whole time, it was a great to be able to roll with him. He had some good pointers for me too after the roll. In any sport; Muay Thai Kickboxing, MMA, BJJ, wrestling, the more you expose yourself to different styles, techniques and different training methods, the better you will become.
JT Torres, Mike Fowler, Willie Leonard and a few of our other guys will be heading out to Europeans in a few weeks. I know they will do great, especially after all of the hard training that they are doing.

I have also added the video of The Push Ups Challenge
