Just another day at the gym. I was at the front desk and a parent of the afterschool asked me where I was from and if I train. After I told her that I was from Hawaii and that I train, she was shocked. She began to explain how she loves Hawaii, and why I am I all the way here in Maryland. My response was the gym, the training, the awesome people, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!!! It was a complete shock and change of lifestyle. I miss Hawaii, the warm weather, my family but it’s a sacrifice I was willing to make. Team Lloyd Irvin is family to me and I couldn’t ask for anything more. I am really looking forward to the LIMAA Christmas Party this Saturday. It will be my first of many to come. I just love the holidays and I just love the atmosphere here! Everyone has welcomed me with open arms. I would have never thought that I would have to travel 20 hrs just to find the best Brazilian jiu jitsu training ever.
