This pas weekend Willie Leonard and Tracey Goodell took 1st place in their respected divisions at the Brazilian Nationals held in Rio de Janeiro.  Willie also went on later to fight in the absolute division, winning all 3 matches and taking home double gold.

Arriving at the venue, you could hear the screaming and cheering from around the corner.  It was definitely a surreal feeling, stepping on the mats in Brazil and for the first time!

Rio has been absolutely amazing!! I have enjoyed my stay here, the beach, the food, and the people…. and now it has come to and end.  Back to reality, work, and training!! Mundials is 1 month away and I can’t believe it!

Team Lloyd Irvin has bee doing great this year!! Everyone keep up the hard work and Mundials is right around the corner.  Train hard, and train smart!  Next weekend we have bjj black belts Mike Fowler and JT Torres competing
